Mark & Chrissie East, became managers of this pub, 1 Nov 2013, before coming to Reading, we were running The Row Barge, Guildford,
where we had 4 years with Cask Marque accreditation, 4 years in the Good Beer Guide & had the pleasure of being our local CAMRA Pub Of The Year, 2012, buy doing nothing but local brewerys,
here we have to sell Doombar, our local is West Berks 'Good Old Boy, & our 3rd pump is a changing guest, some local, some national,
the pub has now turned a corner, a re-dec, new carpets, upholstery & curtains are planned, starting soon,
traditional pub games, with a Bar Billiards table already in the pub,
pop along, say hello, try us out,

Buster Bloodvessel was still serving last night when my mate had his stag night there.

West Berks Good Old Boy and Ramsbury Kennet available. After about a gallon had been served, and the beer got to a reasonable temperature, tke GOB was quite drinkable.

Apart from our party, I doubt that there were half a dozen other customers all night. I reckon that this could be a good pub though.

A fair community local, usually has a couple of ales in OK condition.

Friendly welcome from Buster Bloodvessel behind the bar.

Lots of paraphernalia scattered around. Dig the pine-panelled walling, very early 70's.

Not too bad, better than the Bird in Hand over the road!
