More a pub for food than beer but having said that a good selection of real ales available. Friendly welcome and a good pint of Sambrrooks Pumphouse Ale. Modern layout was a bit lacking in character but it was mid-week and mid-afternoon when visited. OK pub but not somewhere I would visit again or recommend based on what I look for in a pub.

Greene King pub just outside Exmouth Market. It opens early in the morning, mainly for breakfasts. There is an open kitchen at the back. But I was here early for a drink. It's a large place and offers a selection of cask, keg and bottled beers. Cask ales were Greene King IPA and their house beer Stag & Griffin Ale, Vale Fusion, Adnams Ghost Ship & Old Dairy Blue Top. The customer after me requested the Fusion and this was off. So I'm not sure how many they actually had available. Better than your average Greene King pub.

I have lived and worked in the Clerkenwell area all my life. On Sunday 21 August i decided to show my friend around some of the pubs in the area. We went into the wilmington and ordered a bloody mary for my friend, when he brought the drink back to the table it was full of white floating bits, which looked like off milk. we went back to the Bar and was told that the barman had put Horse Radish sauce in his drink. My friend said that this was not the way to mix this drink, to then be told by the very rude barman that he had been a coxtail barmen for three years and that was the way it should be mixed. We insisted that we wanted another drink, which was given to my friend reluctantly. We finished are drinks and left. I would never again wish to drink in this Pub. I own three bars of my own, and have for 25 years. The staff are rude, Aragant, and clueless.

Just a response to MD16, nothing personal, but you ask for Budweiser, alcohol being a depressant, then like to listen to Joy Division, a depressive band (even if good)? Recipe for a great time, that! Which I'll do now, ironically, hahaha.

Still, thanks for the heads-up on it being trendy wanker territory, most will agree on that.

Excellent pint of (GK) St Edmunds ale which I had not has before as well as Jekyll's Gold (I think) which was also enjoyed. Good service, looks a lively music venue but quiet during our afternoon stay (apart from the stabbing in the nearby minicab office!) but I wouldn't let that put you off
