very welcoming landlord and staff at this pub in a beautiful village. Had several excellent pints of Harveys old ale and the food come highly recommended, the pies were to dies for. Just the sort of pub i wish was close to where i live

Called into the George on way to a holiday down on Romney Marsh.
Set in a lovely village, this pub is a true traditional English village pub.
I had the Harveys Sussex Best, well kept & really enjoyable. We also had lunch, the ham Ploughmans was fabulous, a full plate with hand carved ham & warmed rolls.
Wish I lived closer, I would spend more time in this pub for sure!

We have been to this pub a couple of times before but i must say it is just so consistant! It is allways such a pleasure to go there, it just simply has all the charm a real old country pub should with the added benefit of their amazing food. Its allways a pleasure, we highly recomend it to anyone.

Called in for an in-promtu Sunday roast, without having pre-booked. We were greeted by an extremely friendly bar lady, who informed us that although they were fully-booked, they could squeeze us in as we were early. We had the best pub roast dinner we have ever had - and I am very fussy about my roast potatoes! The food was absolutely excellent, the beer - we had the Harveys - was exceptionally well kept and the whole atmosphere, including the very friendly bar staf - makes it a place we will definitely return to

ABSOLUTELY FAB!
I was taken to this restaurant for my surprise birthday dinner and had such a good time! On arrival the staff were very attentive but would never had a clue it was my birthday surprise untill we were directed to our table.... a lovely private dining room off the main restaurant with a beautifull old table which seated all my familly (12) . The meal was really great and had such a good evening (thanks to the champagne) and staff. Thank you all.. will see you all soon.
