| Great friendly atmosphere. Good drinking bar, loved it here! Only do drink and accommodation and do it well - dont change a great place - thats what i say! Bar staff and Manager great - friendly and welcoming. Customers - although a little drunk - very friendly and a wanting to chat unlike next door where it was moan or glare! Seemed to be a breakdown of relationship with Rose & Crown next door - unsurprising! They are so miserable! But suggested we ate at Ancient Mariner a little walk up the road (2mins) Will deffinately return here when working in area for drinks and chats with the locals - might even try staying next time! fanofpubs - 4 Dec 2009 15:36 |
