Absolutely Awful pub. We have friends who live locally so 5 of us decided to try this pub before going down the road for a meal. Immediately when you enter the pub it feels very cliquey and not welcoming to visitors. Although there were 4 staff behind the bar it took a good 10 - 15 mins to get served and they were very disorganized. The biggest insult of all is that when we left we were accused buy the bar staff of stealing a Gin glass, which of course we were vindicated from once we offered to show them our bags, but no apology was offered.

Vile place...landlady rude and horrid to me and my children....2 pit bull dogs running round in garden play area for kids...poo on floor...asked if she could take them in as one son scared of dogs...she said for gods sake! Rude to my boys and when I was leaving said you should have taken your naughty boys to the parkas you only spent a pound on a coffee! Isn't that what pub gardens are for to have a quick drink while kids are entertained...nasty woman no wonder pub was empty plus no food served...

What a lovely pub. 4 good ales available. Young's, Young's Special, Doombar and Fuller's London Pride. Tried the Doombar and Special and both were excellent. The food was superb and the benefit of having seafood on order was more than welcome.
I saw 4 lagers, Fosters, Carling, 1664 and A N Other and also Smith's for the keg lovers.
Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you.
The best pub I've visited for a long long time.

Excellent traditional Pub, the best in the area by far.

The owners are very friendly indeed as are the bar staff and customers. Great live music on Friday and Saturday nights where the atmosphere is excellent.

Excellent food with great deals and a large selection of drinks and bar snacks as well as fresh seafood.

The pub is maintained to a high standard with an excellent garden and an outside front seating area.

Great facilities with 4 TV's (One Outside) for sporting events, pool table, fruit machines, quiz machine, poker nights, darts Leagues, all what you'd expect to find in a pub and more.

There is something for everyone in this pub and is well worth a visit if your in the area.
