Absolutely brilliant pub.
Great real ale selection
Was almost put off by the landlord from the Railway Tavern in station road whom reported to us seasoned ale drinkers that the beer lines were never cleaned and the pub was troublesome. He has said that about all of the other local pubs.
But try for yourself, do not listed to that pompous buffoon.

I like this pub. I often pop in with my sister and our husbands.
Good selection of red wine.
Only gripes no toilet paper in the ladies and my sisters husband and two different ales, both stank and one had lots of little flies in the top.
Was changed to a perfectly drinkable bottle of Holsten pills and he sticks with that now when they have not run out.
Comfy furniture and nice and warm :-)

Visited by bus from Gravesend. Large number of beers and ciders. Two bars and a slightly overgrown beer garden. Watched the football on the TV in one bar then an excellent meal at the adjacent Chinese. Rounded off the evening sitting in rather too comfortable sofas in the other bar. Caught the last bus home. You can buy your favourite beer to takeaway. Only slight downside was when of the beers was served by mistake having not settled although the landlady was a bit miffed about the complaint until the mistake was pointed out. All in all a good night out and well worth finding.

The decor is tired and the place could do with a good refurbish and clean but if you want a mind boggling selection of ale you will not be disappointed.
