Nice pub from the inside and the out with very friendly bar staff. The food was not up to scratch as my "steak" was more like chewing gum than a nice piece of meat. If you're going to run a restaurant at least get somebody in who can cook. I'd return back here for the drinking side of it but not for eating.

For decent food and service avoid. For fresh cooked food and decent service go to The Crown just up Ipswich road in Ardleigh, or the Toby Carvery at the White Hart in Stanway. If you like microwave meals give it a go!

We eat there reguarly and are happy to pay the going rate. But feel ripped off when expected to pay 1.50 for three sauces. That are not mentioned on the menu and noticed all tomato sauce is removed from all tables, 2 4 10.00 ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Not going back.

A decent enough looking pub on the outskirts of town. Nice interior and food is reasonably priced and good value for money. However, beware of the "Go Bananas" play area for kids inside the building and don't expect a quiet drink or two when families descend on the place. OK for a pint if you're passing but definitely more of a kindergarten than an adult's boozer
