Went for some drinks here on Friday, was the first time I have ventured down to that end of Bexleyheath for drinks. Very friendly pub, people who we hadn't even spoke to to said night and bye to us. Landlady also very friendly. Will be back soon.

Not sure what the last review is all about, it's still called The Woodman. It changed hands earlier this year and has definitely improved. Food is now available and they have entertainment on some weekends, not sure I am that keen to see the 'Fat Bottomed Girls' though! They have even installed a hand pump with a decent pint of Youngs on a two for the price of one offer last week. I don't find it tatty although the White Van Men are still there every afternoon.

This is now refurbished and renamed the George Staples afte the guy that built the pub in the 19th Century - wow what a winner ! Great atmosphere ,food, real ale and all the drinks you could ever want.
Very well run family pub with great staff and service and no Live Sports- what a welcome relief.

Situated a short walk from the excellent Prince Albert, The Woodman is a tatty, menacing and not too enjoyable pub to settle for a drink or two. I was in here last night with my girlfriend and both us agreed that its up there with the worst of them. The clientele were rough and ready workmen types with limited conversation and the least said about the beer patio, the better. My Guinness tasted okay though. Hmmm, is that enough? Err, no. Most definitely not recommended.
