| This is another pub which has changed direction and is now called The Bass and Lobster (the Bass being the fish and not the beer). I was unable to visit to check on the facilities but from the outside it looked very "restauranty". As far as the previous correspondent not being able to get local beers - well things have changed and Liberation Ales (Mary Ann/Jersey Brewery) are becoming more widely available across the island. They are generally good and it is encouraging to see real ale making a come-back. Look out for them in the old Jersey Brewery pubs. mcroyal - 7 Jul 2010 15:22 |
| Jersey Pub of the Year 2005 according to the sign and I can see why. Excellent food, ale and service. Not had a pint of Directors that good in a long time. Oddly though no local beers. In fact I didn't manage to get a pint of 'Mary Ann' all the time I was on the island - hmmm. REVERENDBAZ - 20 Sep 2006 12:33 |
