Sheps pub on outskirts of town. Real ale fans tend to go the extra 5 mins to the Flower Pot, so this remains quite a basic locals pub, with pool, darts and Sky sports.

Shepherd & Neame pub located just set back from the busy main road and a few doors along from the Flower Pot.

A pleasant enough pub but I had the same experience as "bjbrummiejohn" in that all 6 hand pumps had a Master Brew Clip on and this indeed was the only ale they were serving.

Seems a bit odd to me that a S&N pub can only offer the 1 beer.

Still I only stayed for one quick beer so my experience wasn't all that bad

Average back street boozer just out of town centre.
Six hand pumps but ALL with a Master Brew Clip on.
Had a pint of MB then for £2.70 and that was ok but not brilliant.
Fair number in with jock footy on the box ICT v Herts.

Once on the main road to the Medway Towns, now a locals pub on a quiet street. Lots of sport on different TVs, but friendly staff and a very dcenet pint of Master Brew.

Good, solid Shepherd Neame pub just outside of the town center. Very spacious and roomy, the Dragoon has the usual Masterbrew on tap, occasionally Spitfire and there are a few bottled ales. Only Shepherd Neame licensed lagers are available. There is a pool table at the top end of the pub as well as a darts board in its own area, which is excellent. There is another board down towards the front of the pub as well. Prices are quite reasonable and the bars taff are friendly.
