| Don't know what's happened to this pub but it is most definitely a zero rating. Three handpumps now redundant - asked for a pint of bitter and was offered keg John Smiths. | I'd stood outside this pub shortly after midday in the pouring rain waiting for this pub to open, with no answer on the pub's telephone. I eventually gave up and returned much later in the evening to finally find it open. This is a fairly large corner pub with 2 bars. There were 3 or 4 people in one room watching the darts and another person in the other room. The ale choice was good - Roosters Yankee, Thornbridge Jaipur & Ilkley Fireside Porter. Another enjoyable St Helens pub, when it finally opened! I continued on to the Brown Edge (not listed on here), another pub that had earlier been closed. blue_scrumpy - 7 Jan 2016 21:50 |
