proper old school seventies wine bar. Good selection of wine but also lager on tap. They usually have live music at least once a week.

Popped in here last night based on the recommendations on this site. First impressions were very positive, and there was even a table free at 8pm on a Saturday night. However, disappointment set in when I got to the bar and saw nothing but Lager and Guiness. Asked the barmaid if they had any Bitter/Ale, but that only drew a very blank and confused response, so went to the Roebuck instead. A real shame, as this initially looked like a great find.

I stumbled across this pub accidentally and have frequented many times since. Great atmosphere, bizarre regulars and crazy owner. Staff are charming but I would recommend attending this hidden gem on a night that the Scottish girl is working. Friendly smiling face, and helpful in every way.

Despite the name, more like a pub! well worth a visit as a change from the more manicured drinking places in the area.
