The Gentleman Jim has been given a new lease of life! The new owners are very friendly and inviting and the pub has a great atmosphere and is great for families with kids! The food is lovely and very affordable. There is regular entertainment including a weekly karaoke night which draws in a fantastic crowd, also football on sky sports is shown on the plasma tv's. They have a huge function room which can be hired for parties etc. I am more than happy to take my kids there and have had some cracking nights out there!

This pub is situated in a frankly dodgy council estate, you would definately not want to take your family here after dark! It has also been made known that this pub exists primarily for people that are banned from all of the pubs in the town centre of Alton, because of the violent offenses they have comitted, lovely! I can believe this after i saw someone bottled for no reason at the bar here.

Frankly i would avoid this pub at all costs...
