A decent pub part way between Littleborough and the White House. Some 528 buses go past (although be careful as some go a slightly different way and don't stop outside).

Fine old coaching inn on the way out and up (a lot of up) from Littleborough with a somewhat chequered past. In the 70's/80's it was a disco bar and was where I had my first ever pint of Oranjeboom (I've got older and wiser since then). These days it has a large restaurant area with a separate and much smaller pub part at the front. It's a very comfortable pub with 3 handpumps usually selling Timothy Taylors Landlord and a couple of guest ales, one of which is often from Pictish. Has a massive wooden terrace at the back with a fantastic view over the local moorland. It's great during summer (which only lasts about 10 days up here). You pretty much have to drive or get a taxi, but it's worth it.

Set in a picturesque setting overlooking the moors, large terracing for outside drinking in good weather and childrens play area. Three real ales served all in good condition, good resturaunt with specialities such as ostrich or kangeroo, several en suite rooms for B&B, live music nights, friendly manager and locals worth a visit.
