| This place has re-opened as the Brookmill. It's conveniently located a few minutes walk from St John's mainline station, where I headed home from. It was quite appropriate that I finished off at this place, as it is the sister pub of the Great North Wood in West Norwood, where my South East London crawl had commenced much earlier in the day. This is now a trendy gastropub with a fairly young-middle age crowd. It was quite dark inside and there were a number of different drinking areas. Ales are all from South London brewers - Wimbledon XXK, Twickenham Winter Warmer & Sambrook's Wandle. Unlike their sister pub, they don't appear to offer a CAMRA discount. Neither do they sell a real cider. The Great North Wood was the better of the two. But this was a nice enough place, with tempting-looking food. blue_scrumpy - 27 Jan 2019 16:36 |

| This is a great pub, friendly staff and locals. They have kareoke on a Friday night so its always busy. Saturdays can be a little quieter but its still a great pub. pommie - 20 Feb 2006 14:14 |
