Wadworth beers, a bit run down. Think I paid 3.20 a pint. Alright for a swift one but nothing more than that.

Was probably a fine establishment in its time, today however it looks a bit run-down and feels like its trying to be a Wetherspoons but without the cheap prices.

A good place to get a pint with food (it has improved).

Well, the previous comments can only be described as caustic!
I found The George pleasant and truly functional. Good value Pub Grub and draught beer well kept. What more can one ask for in the centre of a busy market town? I thought 'Anonymous' on 17th April 2006 was totalling out of order and certainly wrong - Only one of the waitresses has been at the double whoppers!

This is about the best bar in Frome - but then remember you are starting from a VERY low base. I accidentally spent a night in Frome (thanks to meeting someone at work who enticed me out to this small dump of a tiny market town in the middle of nowhere) and it's one of the few that doesn't leave you itching to leave. True, the bald, tatooed men sitting all day at the bar can put you off, as can the ultra loud TV playing nothing but sports in a corner of the bar. Ammusing note is the tweedle dum tweedle dee act of the realyl skinny bar maid and the one who has had a few too many MacyDs. But it's cute. It has Carling, Carling Premier, Wadworths 6X, IPA & Stella on draft. Real ale sometimes too. And, oddly, you remember those soup bowls you used to get free at Shell if you bought more than 10 gallons? They use those free bowls here to serve the condiments. Weird, but strangely in a small-town way, loveable.
