| Nothing exceptional but significantly better than it used to be! Considering it's part of a chain the pizzas are pretty good, and the big chap who appears to be the landlord/manager is friendly and welcoming. You do get plenty of the ol' Kidlington regulars in but none of the trouble the pub had previously seen over the years (none that I have recently seen anyway). CaptainBeerFace - 2 Mar 2015 14:31 |
| Vies with (and probably beats) The Duke of Monmouth on Oxford's Abingdon Road for the award for most TV screens in one establishment. Part of the Pizza Kitchen Bar chain, but none the better for it; a lunchtime visit saw the usual characters that populate the pubs in the satellite towns of Oxford at that time of day, and a bowl.of nachos was served unnervingly quickly; with half of the portion consisting of dry, salted tortilla chips once the top layer had been consumed. | great friendly drinking pub: great customers, staff and atmesphere. excellent real ales & draught largers has recently putting live bands on and recent refurb - a long needed kick into the 21st century!!!! Shortie_Shy - 8 Sep 2009 13:55 |
