Paid a return visit yesterday evening

My review is unchanged from last year.

although, this time we had our two pub dogs in training. Rosie the afternoon barlady not only gave us a jug of water for Mr & Mrs Woof, she also provided us with table service.

Hence why its CAMRA area pub of the year

This is my favourite pub in Ayr.

Two ale pumps featuring various Scottish Micro brews.
A lovely lass behind the bar most evenings and makes your visit totally worthwhile.

Food is served for part of the day.

My big plus is that DUGS are most welcome with well behaved owners attached to their leads. Water for Mr Woof is the first service. And the beach for walkies is 200 yards away.

My dog gives a score of 10 woofs

Nice enough little bar, but I too had a pint of cask beer that had to be changed, and even then wasn't much good. Do they sell enough of the stuff to keep it properly?

A cellar bar in a square towards the South of the town centre. Had first pint out of some dark orcadian beer which I had to change. Replacement was okay. Reasonable enough bar to which I would return.
