Has this place changed hands? Under it's previous incarnation it suffered from the "Y" in Y-Bar being involved.

I have been to this bar a number of times and am always impressed with the quality of service, the price and range of the drinks, and the vibrant atmosphere.

They have a range of top drawer DJ's who cater for all manner of musical tastes. My particular favourite is a small chap known as DJ Soap. The other week he played a blinding set of dirty, funky house including some original remixes of the Floyd and Led Zeppellin! Heard that he is playing again on Thursday 6th April so that is definitely a date for the diaries, a particular crowd pleaser!

The drinks menu and prices are suberb for this part of town, cheap but quality cocktails often attract a number of ladies to the bar ;) It is difficult to think of a reason why you would stay away - highly recommended!

Had a great night out at EQ and definitely worth the few minutes walk from Upper Street. Really cool bar with great music and live DJs playing funky house. Lovely cocktails and really reasonably priced. Unusual to find such a nice place with a cool vibe that won't break the bank. Highly recommend.

Delicious cocktails.

If you find yourself on a Thurs/Fri/Sat evening, freezing cold, waiting in line for the dubious pleasure of being jostled and harrassed in the forever packed and uncomfortable Embassy over the road, make a sensible decision. Cross the road and have a nice drink in a warm and comfortable atmosphere in EQ.
