THIS IS NO LONGER A PUB.

ITS NOW A TESCO EXPRESS STORE.

OOOPS!!! No refurb then! Just goes to show how little Punch taverns care about their pubs. All they want is the tenants deposit, rent and anything else they can squeeze out of them and give sweet F.A. in return. Just greed and ignorance. Come the revolution the board of this pile of doo's outfit are going to be first against the wall. 9mm bullet anyone?

Good to hear about the refit, about time as we need a proper pub round here too many carvery and hungry horse types and its a long walk to the black swan. I know the new people and like them a lot, I just hope Punch come through for them

Hi Hi!!

For the past three months we have been in this pub now, I believe we have changed it quiet drastically. The bad reputation this pub once had should be slowing falling away for the little trouble we have experienced since being here!
With live music every friday and saturday nights sometimes even sundays as well as the refurb on the cards. Yes thats right its actually happening, maybe the previous owners didnt push enough for it because we have got it! Oct/Nov the pub may be shut for several weeks however the plans look amazing and it will be well worth it. So for you doubters out there...WE DID IT!
Cask ale, two pool tables, games machines and most definatly friendly staff THE WHEATSHEAF is most definatly on the way UP!!

New landlord formerly of the railway tavern, might breathe new life into it, but don't hold YOUR breath. Come on punch taverns, where is the 150,000 total refurb into a one bar pub with new kitchen, restaurant and loo's you have been promising for years. It's cruel to keep a badly injured animal alive like this. either do something with it to revive it, or put it out of its misery and level the place. One real ale, Old speckled hen aint gonna save it!!
