| We have eaten at this pub many times and always had a problem getting up afterwards! The typical Italian food outstanding,good value, good tasting, good portions and well presented . The beer is delicious with constant new ones to try as I suspect they get through a barrel fairly quickly! The wine is rather nice to! | Was in there today for sunday lunch with my in-laws. What can i say ? Terrible .... My wife and I opted for lasagne , the lasagne was the consistancy of soup , but luckily enough was actually served in a soup bowl ( presumably to contain the greasy mess ) . The garlic bread was stuck to the edge of the bowl , and when i eventually managed to free it , tasted as though it had been microwaved for a long time. We both couldn't eat it , and left the whole lot. Another member of our party had a 'cottage pie' which came in a ceramic bowl on a plate , at first glance i thought that someone had accidentally knocked a jug of gravy over the whole thing , but no , apparently it is served like that ! Upon closer inspection the lower 1/2 inch of the 'pie' was so burned and encrusted to the bottom of the ceramic dish that it was inedible. Can't comment on the beer because I didn't try it . To be fair , the pub was clean and had a nice 'village' feel to it , so it may well be ok for a drink. Just don't go there for sunday lunch. Mr_Toad - 28 Mar 2010 21:18 |
