| Popped in at midday and was warmly greeted - always a good start. A couple of Harvey ales on offer and the party selected Hodd (made for the pub by Harveys). Meals were reasonably priced although the chicken main meal could have done with a few vegetables. Staff served beer straight to the table to save our old legs. Selected the left hand bar as we entered which has a limited number of tables (approx. 7) so get there early if you want that bar. Didn't check out the other eating area but looked good but a bit more formal (maybe evening dining). Good sized car park. Will probably return soon. addick - 12 Feb 2013 16:51 |

| The "Hod" will be closed for major refurbishment from 18 March 2011 for about four months. It is now owned by a company set up by four local residents and when it reopens will be a free house serving real ales and good pub-type food. After years of declining trade and reputation it is good news for the villagers who look forward to having a real country pub to attend in future. bitter_sweet - 18 Mar 2011 19:12 |
