A change of tenant at this pub. Didnt try food as it was a saturday night, but they say it is ok. Usual Mansfield beers on, I had a Jennings bitter and my partner had a Carlsberg 5-40 for the two so not too bad. Person who served us was a bit crusty and just asked for the money and that was it. no thankyou or anything. The place is ready for decoration and a new carpet, the gents was closed for refurbishment, so may be changes afoot? Large carpark at rear and beergarden at front. Worth a visit, but staff could be more affable

My wife and I went for a quick lunch Saturday i the lounge.
Not so many people in the pub, around 10.
The food was very good and at a reasonable price.
Recommended.

Have dined here a few times. Food here is fairly cheap, but good quality, in big sized portions, well above the standard of the big chains. 10 will get a 2 course meal. Lamb shank, steak and ale pie and the steaks all recommended.
1 portion of garlic bread will do for 2 as a starters, same for the cheesy potato wedges.
Food seems to be cooked properly on the premises, not those pre-chilled offerings some places offer.
Has early bird offers on between 5 and 7, for some of the items on the menu.
Good beer too.
