| We came to the Rose and Crown on late Saturday afternoon and ordered a pint and a meal. While enjoying the excellent ale we realised that the last bus to Didcot was in a few minutes time, so we cancelled the food order, downed our beers and hurried to the bus stop. While waiting for the bus, we were amazed when the pub owner/cook appeared at the bus stop with a parcel of food for us, completely free. What a nice thing for him to do!
