| Our carvery Mother's Day lunch was fantastic. The interior is tradional and a little tired, could do with bringing up to date however the food was wonderful. Well worth a visit and not expensive either. davison615 - 5 Mar 2008 15:08 |

| Attentive 'human' staff! A manager who when asked for change of "10" offered 5 X 1p + 1 X 5p and a sickly smile. Stayed overnight in a comfortable room (each named after an English inventor). Guinness in splendid condition and a steak to die for. My first visit but sure not to be my last. Down side? Two microscopic butter portions with the uneavenly cooked breakfast toast.
