Changes hands more often than a used fiver and best avoided for now.

Our carvery Mother's Day lunch was fantastic. The interior is tradional and a little tired, could do with bringing up to date however the food was wonderful. Well worth a visit and not expensive either.

There's a pool table here and a great selection of perfectly kept ales & very friendly staff. It's worth the trip just for the beer.
Sunday roast was nothing to right home about but it was ok, seems to be very popular though.

Attentive 'human' staff! A manager who when asked for change of "10" offered 5 X 1p + 1 X 5p and a sickly smile.
Stayed overnight in a comfortable room (each named after an English inventor). Guinness in splendid condition and a steak to die for. My first visit but sure not to be my last.
Down side? Two microscopic butter portions with the uneavenly cooked breakfast toast. Perhaps a little on the stingy side with bacon (1 rasher) and egg (1 egg). Finally, a poor choice of wines by the glass in the restaurant!
