I put in a good review last year for this pub . I took my uncle again and was very disapointed as we had to wait 50 minuits before being served ,not good ,e true

Had a cracking 'Mixed Grill' meal here. The place itself is a little bereft of atmosphere, but the focus here is the food menu rather than creating a trad pub environment. Because of the 'Two for One' offer you're better off coming here with an even number of people, but failing that you can always order an extra meal. (If you don't feel too self-conscious). As far as beer is concered there's nothing out of the ordinary on offer here, but as I've already said, the focus is on the food menu more than anything else.

The two for one meal deals are good value and the service is reasonably quick. Has a beer garden that runs along 2 sides of the building, so if you fancy breathing in the fumes from the traffic on the dual carriageway then this could be the place for you.

I have stayed in the adjacent Premier Lodge several times and this pub has to have consistently the slowest service in England. Ull the customers just stand there and look at each other. Food is microwaved and OK when/if it arrives. Breakfast is the only bright spot on the menu. Draught lagers are 'orrible - I always drink bottles and then usually go down the road to eat.
