The last bloke has now given up, and the pub is called the Cormer House. Can't comment too much as I only popped in there for a quick pint one lunch time, but it was still very quiet. There appeared to be only one group in there, and they all seemed to know the landlord.
We sat out in the garden, but several of the tables were covered in building materials, we had to step over a puddle of dog pee to get to our chosen table, and the two guilty dogs spent the whole time tearing round the garden which was not convivial to a quiet, relaxed pint.
I wont rush back, but may pop in one evening to see what it's like then.

As the previous correspondent has mentioned, it's now called Braggs and has gone a bit up market (but then it was fairly down market before!). I understand the previous locals now frequent The Friendship.
The new landlord (who previously had the fitted kitchen's shop in the courtyard) has done a good job of refitting it, although with it's tiled floor it's not exactly cosy. There's a few chairs out the front, and some decking at the rear.
They've been trying a few options with food, but not had too much success. It always seems very quiet when I go in, which is a shame as the landlord is quite friendly and always willing to chat. The original idea was steaks, but these were somewhat overpriced. The next menu was much more "pubby" but I think they now only do it on a lunchtime due to lack of demand, which is a shame. Nailsea needs a decent eating pub in the twon centre. He's now planning on doing more entertainment to try and get the punters in. I believe there was a Robbie Williams tribute a couple of weeks ago.
If you haven't been in there since it's changed, give it a go. They're trying hard and it could do with some support.
