Three of us went here one Sunday lunchtime in early December. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed. The bar staff were friendly. There was Harveys Best and Green King IPA on draught. The Harveys wasn't right but was changed to another pint of IPA no problem. We ordered the Mixed Grill,Steak and Ale pie and the Fish and Chips. All were served quickly with condiments and were very good. We sat at one end of the pub in a conservatory area where there were a couple of family groups and some elderly individuals enjoying their food. The centre room has tables and chairs for general use.Not sure about the far end of the pub.The toilets were clean and tidy.I think it is part of the 'Sizzling Pubs' chain. There is seating outside in better weather and a large Car Park.We would go here again.

I went in the Grenadier on Monday afternoon and it was packed so it must have something going for it. The food is cheap and cheerful (Harvester like) and the lager was ok (no ales today). The pub serves a large mixed estate and so it serves its purpose well. I liked it and would have no hesitation in going back there.

There are some nicer pubs nearby - try the Hangleton Manor but expect to pay three times more for your food and a lot more for your booze.

I live down the road from this dump and have been in there only once when I first moved in. I had the quickest pint I'd had in a long while as this place is shocking. The clientele are basically hooligans and the women are far worse than the men sreaming and swearing at each other. The food looked shocking and the whole place was a disaster zone. Anywhere that has doormen on the door at half five on a Sat afternoon is not good news. Best thing they can do with this place is bulldoze it and make some nice flats or a few more shops.

Worst pub in Hove. Food, service, atmosphere awful. The landlady spent most of her time arguing with her partner effing and blinding. Family pub, I don't think so, I grabbed my family and left as soon as we had finished our "meal".
