user reviews of the Buck Inn, Grindleton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We've been to this pub several times since new management took it over earlier this year. The local's seem to thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere in this pub and it has always been busy, sometimes bordering on packed, when we have visited. We have eaten three times and the food has been good. There are always children milling around when we have been during the day and we have not seen any animosity from current owners towards them. The outside area is good when its decent weather with 5/6 picnic style tables.

We discovered the Buck Inn while travelling to Bolton by Bowland and decided that we liked the look of the place. The exterior of this old pub has had a facelift but it still looks like a country vilage pub should look.

Now under new ownership (September 2007), the Buck Inn has undegone a transformation. The interior is that of a smart country pub and it is noticable that there is no juke box or games machine chattering away. A games room is provided and that romm leads to a rear garden which is kept to the same high standard as the interior.

Food at the Buck is outstanding home made food and we will be journeying there again soon. Beers range from Theakstons Mild to Pedigree plus a range of other beers and lagers. We did not look at the wine list on this occasion but we will next time round.

In spite of the lovely interior cyclists and walkers are welcome!
