This pub is closed (actually now for a while) following the JP Morgan redevelopment plans for office expansion (which plans themselves were changed following local opposition)...

Ok, so it's a slightly dodgy mostly men inner city pub BUT it has character and most of the staff are friendly and the clientelle isn't too pretencious... The pizza is quite good and the prices are fine for Moorgate.
Bring back the outdoor seating on benches for summer though!

last time I went in the no longer had SkyTV, which sucked as I went there especially to see some sport match on in the middle of the day...

Good place for a relaxing pint on a Friday night after work before moving on somewhere else. Sky sport and plenty of screens.

I found this pub a refreshing change to the usual city pubs, but is definitely only worthy of an average rating.
On the plus side it has SkyTv on plenty of well placed LCD screens, and good ventilation (non-smoker), and is good place to go to get away from any pretentious types.
Let down by is poor ale selection of just London Pride and one other 3.something % ale.
I'd go back again...
