This is one of my favourite pubs in the South of England. Myself and a select few meet once in a while to sample the excellently kept Harvey's best, personally some of the best tasting Harvey's in Sussex. the food is proper pub grub, don't expect gastro, expect something filling. There are little spots out the back and front to catch the sun in the late afternoon and the regular live music events are always fun to watch and listen too.

What an amazing pub! Situated in the beautiful village of Chiddingly, this pub has a gorgeous interior (not too) cluttered with old enamel signs etc which may be a bit much for some but added to the interest for me. Nice and cosy, I could have spent all day there. We arrived during the last weekend in July which corresponded with The Bongo Bash being held in the adjacent field which was basically a bunch of bikers having fun. They were fine but may have put off some. Apparently this has been a biker pub for some years, but you wouldnt really notice it. I think there is Folk & Blues here as well. Well worth a visit!

All the previous reviews mention what a wonderful pub this is......and it still is.

An increasingly rare gem given the amount of pub closures. The beer, 'Harveys', was spot on and the pub is clearly loved by both owners and regulars....it shows!

Well - the previous entries say it all. What a gem. We have sampled the fare twice in the last 2 weeks at lunchtime and couldn't wish for more. The service is friendly, the food very satisfying and the beer exceedingly well kept. We will return for more in the near future.
