| Visited the pub for the first time last week. Held the door open for 3 "gentlemen" who were clearly locals who were following me in and the landlady promptly went to serve them first despite being ahead of them. | I've just read in the Argus that the new licencees who inherited the pub are going to throw the pub open to football fans on home match days. | Better than i thought, popped in for a drink when passing last Friday 3 room pub with a 2 dinning areas and 1 bar area 3 different real ales on and cheap food friendly bar staff and locals where there was a mixture of older people and students. | Great place to go for a quiet drink. Menu isn't really up to much if you want anything more than sandwiches. Very opinionated landlord, John - pick topics of conversation carefully!
