Avoid this pub. The sole barmaid was too busy talking on her mobile phone in the car park to serve waiting customers. After several minutes when asked to serve she objected to being disturbed and refused service. The worst service I have ever encountered from pub staff anywhere.

a great pub with great food, friendly staff, good for camping on the campsite out the back , def. worth a visit for a few days

Quiet on a Monday lunch-time (but unlike the nearby Golden Lion, at least it was open). So-so pint of Bombardier, but one of those traditional English pubs that you are just grateful still exists.

just your average little pub. nice friendly service. if you are not local don't look for a big red carpet welcome but they aren't unfriendly. nice place for the kids to play in the fenced playground.
