Good rural pub where the emphasis is on food. The larger room is the dining room, whilst a smaller room with a separate entrance is for drinkers only. We chose to eat here. Fish and sausages are a speciality. Whilst the food was good, the beer and cider selection is better. Oldershaw Autumn Gold, Brewsters Hophead, Great Oakley Wagtail & Great Oakley Welland Valley Mild were on, with the locally made Cromwells Olivers Choice being the only real cider. Cromwells is produced locally and is possibly my favourite cider. So I'm happy to recommend this pub!

Probably the best place to eat in the Huntingdon and St Ives area, with sausages, seafood and desserts strengths. Manages to combine what is clearly a restaurant (right hand door) with a scrubbed and simple public bar (left door). That means that locals and visitors are content. Takes its beers (and other produce) from a limited radius around the Cock, meaning that local micro-breweries are well represented and their products well served. Staff seem to enjoy their work and that means they deal with customers well.

Very good beer, but the decor is modern and a bit sparse for my taste.

Fantastic pub and restaurant. The beer is of the absolute highest quality, and always very reasonably priced. A recently introduced policy means that real ales are stocked only from brewers within 1 hour drive from the pub. Currently, the policy is to have two regular beers, and rotate two other guests. The regulars are currently Earl Soham "Victoria Bitter", and Buntingford "Highwayman IPA" (chosen at a recent pub beer festival by a poll of the locals). Guests often feature from Milton, Nethergate and Potbelly. Easily the best beer pub for miles around.

Absolutely wonderful pub! yes, it is expensive but the exquisite food (my Sunday lunch here was one of the best I've eaten in many years)is worth every single penny. The real ales are great too.

The decor is sort of stylish rustic (with an emphasis on chickens and cockerels) and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

The service is really good as well; our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

I recommend the Sunday lunches in particular(we had 3 courses + a few drinks, which cost about 80- it's a place for special occassions or someone with deep pockets).
