| This seemed to be the place where everyone was taking full advantage of the (very good) Banks's Bitter at £2.29 and the Pedigree at £2.49 a pint. | Located opposite the castle. It had recently re-opened after a complete refurb and still smelt of fresh paint. It has been tastefully decorated with comfortable seating. It had 2 Banks' beers; Mild and Bitter plus Marston's Pedigree. The mild which was very nice looked and tasted like a normal session bitter.
