Stayed here... Room was beautifully decorated and quiet. pub was immaculate and busy in afternoon but quiet at night. Unicorn at 1.80 per pint (special offer). Breakfast was best I have ever had anywhere. My sort of place.

A bit of a disappointment compared with the other places I visited in Lancaster over Xmas...only two mainstream-ish ale handpulls and a definate lack of atmosphere.

Worth popping in if passing, but not to specially make time for considering the wealth of decent ale houses the city has to offer.

Good traditional jazz on two Thursdays a month. (It once was every week, but alas no more!).

I have lived in London for 10 years but this pub was always a favourite but then it depended upon the landlord at the time. I also worked there for a little while. There is nothing so bad as real ale drinkers with their cords and beards and their moaning about the head on the beer!! On the plus side there used to be wonderful live music with bands from all over the country and overall I have fond memories of this pub.

A gem of a little pub on Lancaster's waterfront. Good beer, live music, great unpretentious ambience.
