| Extremely large hotel with 2 bars that dominates one side of the High St. However it was closed at 5.30pm even though there were a couple sitting in the lounge area no-one came to the bar area to serve. So there’s nothing to comment on and my opinion it that’s poor having a bar open but no-one to serve. The place scores 1/10 and that's just for the building! lezford - 7 May 2014 14:13 |

| Why doesn't someone put a bloody bomb under the front bar in this lovely old hotel? I've been in several times in the early evening in the winter - to a miserable, piddling fire. Beer is OK but the atmosphere is morbid. Will_Fly - 27 May 2008 16:42 |

| Whilst staying at the hotel we popped into the Town bar for a bite to eat but it was far too smoky to stay. The Hotel bar was much more pleasant and i thoroughly recommend the omelettes. Airwolf - 17 Nov 2006 11:12 |
