An experience. Did a stint working nightshift and we celebrated our last night with a pint of lager shandy in the PB at 7am. Again... an experience!

Cheap and local!

A real 'star wars bar'! Full of cottaging poofs, posties ( back in the day) and railwaymen, with clubbers heading for one final drink to stave off the comedown. That floor, though! Worth ONE visit, but no more.

Would be okay if your feet didn't stick to the floor and the beer is god awful. You can meet some interesting creatures though. The sandwich shop is good

everybody that goes to edinburgh must so experience this pub, i've spent many a morning having the most obscure conversation with the strangest of people. cannot recommend it enough plus there is a sandwich shop underneath to feed you when you have that last pint!

An absolute Edinburgh institution! Opens 5am-10am Mon-Sat and draws the most absurd variety of revellers i've seen outside of Glastonbury. Obviously allows for round the clock boozing, has great jukebox but the decor is pitiful (not that it really matters at five in the morning). If you have ketchup-cheeks and stamina by the barrel, this is most likely the place for you.
