Hadn't been in here for years (well decades actually) but noticed it in the GBG with a desription of excellent food. Decided to pop in for a Sunday lunch. Food was indeed excellent (including a superb vegetarian choice). Desserts were available in normal sizes for £5.25 and tasters for just £2.25. There were also three well kept local ales too (Adnams, Woodfordes and Old Cannon). Surprised the place wasn't busier.

What a great find! The perfect country pub - great garden, two bars, friendly locals, a wide selection of beers and ales and good food. A good place to stay for a weekend in the country...

This is a really nice little local pub run by a friendly, helpful family. The rooms are comfortable, nicely-decorated and very clean. The food is good, there is a broad selection of options at breakfast and there is an interesting mix of guest ales at the bar. Would recommend it
