user reviews of the Flintknappers Arms, Brandon

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Good pub, good, well kept beer, good food. friendly staff and definitely open. Greene King Abbot Ale and Adnams Broadside on handpull, both very good pints and a selection of lagers including Beck's Vier.
Food was reasonably priced and very good. Not top end gastro pub stuff but very good all the same. We (three guys working in the local area) couldn't clear our plates, were were stuffed. I defy any one to still be hungry after eating one of these mixed grills!!

If / when I am back in the local area again be it for work or pleasure, given the opportunity I will certainly be back in this pub.

Thoroughly closed and boarded up when I passed today, like much of Brandons shabby 'town' centre. Looked like the locals were having a 'run' on the local branch of Barclays judging from the queue down the road, or maybe its a 'one bank machine' town...

I wouldn't classify this as a pub, it's one of those places that used to be a pub and now has 4 meters squared of laminate flooring it calls a dance floor. Oh and it has a pole for the classy ladies. What fallen angel said is true to give you an idea of the sort of people in there, last time I visited this place 2 men left 1 cubical sniffing and talking about big brother need I say more.

P.S The beer tastes strange too.

Its a good pub if you like to wait a long time for a beer, not be able to hear and be surrounded by roudy louts and girls dressed in scraps of fabic. Its a beautiful building with so much potential, but instead its ruined by groups of idiots.
