Indian food is no longer. Manager is new, as is the tapas menu.
New owners seem friendly enough and the Dark Star Hophead was tasty.
However on second visit the Hophead was past its best and the new owners seemed more interested looking at a laptop rather than attending to the customers. My partner and her daughter sampled the tapas which they reported was very greasy, and they'd had a lot better elsewhere. I want this pub to survive, but they will need to up their game to compete with the other Godalming pubs.

Indian menu is superb, high quality, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked. Staff are extremely friendly. Downside is, not enough staff to cope on busy nights when it can be packed and very noisy. Also on the last few visits there have been groups of parents with babies and small children which is not for everyone, rather dissapointing to see this in a noisy pub environment. Parking can be tricky too.

All credit to the team here. Very friendly, good atmosphere and the best Indian food in town. Great concept. I see that they've started to do sandwiches at lunchtime to please other punters too. Good choice of ales and lagers. One criticism: the massive flat scree tv, always on and very distracting.

Not a bad drinkers pub I was on lager which was fine, food looked good place was clean and tidy.
Got to say about the last comment rosieog do you have something to do with another pub because all you have done is slag off most pubs you`ve been in except one,now thats what I find strange maybe it`s an age thing!!!!

A pub I don't feel comfortable in. However, great for Indian food!
