Unfortunately the Railway does not do food any longer so we didnt get to sample it - The only pub with pool table and juke box again friendly staff good atmosphere again beer disappointing as cloudy and if your looking for a quite pint this isnt the place but great place for the youngsters to hang out and have a laugh.

An absolute gem! I paid two visits to this pub, a fortnight apart. On the second visit, they recalled my name and that always works for me! Donna and Geoff, originally from the Nottingham area, have a blinder of a boozer here. Punters range in age from 18 to 70 and it works. Carpeted throughout, with clean, modern toilets, this is definitely a pub that should be on your "To Do" list if visiting the Suffolk coast. Usual Adnams fare, but served with a genuine smile. I had to visit this pub twice, because I couldn't believe that I hadn't found a fault first time. Didn't find one second time either. Traditional boozer - pool table and juke box - but still feels "a cut above". Also, the Gaffer feeds the jukebox with cash so you are guaranteed free choons. Come the summer, they host BBQs so I will make a point of returning. If the food is anywhere near the quality of the hospitality, it will be priceless.Well maintained, and the care and attention to detail is reflected in the quality of the ale served.
