| Seems to be more of a restaurant than a pub. The menu was interesting, not your usual pub food, but very expensive. Likewise the beer was very expensive - almost central London prices. | This is a pub / restaurant that combines the pleasures of both eating and drinking without the two getting in each others way. The new owners took over in the summer and have completely transformed the place. My experience was unexpected and wonderful. Superb menu! It's got the standard fare but surprised and pleased to see things like Beef Cheeks and Kidney Pie sitting alongside classics like Beer Battered Hadock. Something for everyone. Will return. | Service always excellent and friendly. Good beer (Adnams) available. Only draught cider is Strongbow, but that Irish stuff is available bottled. No still cider nor perry. Food OK to good, depending on the night. Gluten-intolerance is understood, which is nice. TimBeerMacy - 2 Jul 2007 16:59 |
