Still a good pub, does good basic food, serves 5 real ales, good service friendly atmosphere, just wish it was in the Village center then I could walk to it.

Stopped off here on Friday 11th September during a walk from West Ruislip to Chorleywood. It's a nice old-fashioned place, not far from Chalfont St. Peter but in a separate hamlet called Horn Hill. My wife had Timothy Taylor Landlord and I had Courage Best, both of which were fine. There may have been another hand-pump ale on but I can't remember what it was.

Visited yesterday afternoon after a walk. Good range of beer (5 ales - I had Courage Best which was great) and friendly service
Reasonably priced food especially the carvery. All in all a very pleasant afternoon/early evening in a straightforward unpretentious pub which deserves to do well

Have been coming to this pub fairly regularly on Friday evenings - fair selection of beer and great atmosphere.
Food is always good value if not cordon bleu!
rumour is that it is up for sale - hope new owner doesn't change it too much.

Was on a walking holiday and was pleased to find this pub opens before noon on Sundays. Landlord lit the log fire especially for us to warm up! Wide range of good food available, including Sunday carvery. I think there were over 70 dishes on the menu, and best of all it was proper pub food with no gastro pub pretensions or silly prices. Three good real ales on tap too: London Pride, Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor Landlord.
