Went there for a pint and doesnt look like its had a penny spent on it in over 30 years. The beer is better than when the rocker ran the pub, I must say. I was starting to enjoy the atmosphere when a fat old loud mouthed vig shot black country version of les dawson started kicking off. Some things never change ay? Much better than before but room for improvement.

A slight oasis in a sea of very bad pubs. What is it with this area that most of the pubs are so poor.

Anyway the plough is a different affair. Friendly clean and the curries are not bad either. The beer is generally well kept and 3 handpulls with Bass as the norm and rotating two guest beers. The locals are friendly. Nice open fires in winter when they bother to light them.

This pub could be a gem if the landlord took a few actions. Perhaps one more handpull and to paint the frontage and sweep the street outside as it can be piled with rubbish taking the look off the place.

Nice boozer.

Have tried the Plough again, and to be honest, i don't know what to make of it.
Good points, it's clean, and the food looks and smells awesome, even though I didn't try it..

But, there were only about ten people in there, round the telly watching the football, for some reason on a foreign language station. The place used to be packed every night after nine, but it was dead. And unfortunately, the beer was hopeless. Even the lager was flat!! Try again next week maybe, but perhaps the poor beer is the reason the place is empty.

I had not been to the old Plough for years It had gone downhill a bit in recent years. However its recently had new owners who have connections with the
Royal Oak in Langley I think, another one of our local haunts, and was suprised at the improvement in the place.
The bar is a bit basic but adequate with a pool table, the lounge is small and a has a cosy and friendly feel to it.
An excellent range of beers are available particularly the bitter and the most impressive I think is a superb range of Indian food served at the table or to take away which has been recently introduced,Its certainly worth a visit if you have not been for a while.
