user reviews of the Swan Inn, Halesowen

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Ignore the 2008 review, this pub has been taken over by the Black Country Brewery and now serves 8 real ales and 4 real ciders.

A notice on the door states no children or dogs (a decision made by the customers), but my 15 year old daughter was made welcome, so it's more of a policy to prevent screaming brats and wild animals than a blanket ban.

This was my local 10 years ago and it's present incarnation makes me wish I hadn't moved.

This pub has recently changed hands and the new owners have done an outstanding job with creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is a real ale pub and has a wide selection of beers to choose from which change on a daily basis. Every two weeks on a Monday there is a board game social meet where people get together to play various games and it is always good fun.

I think the new owners also stopped this pub from being demolished. The decor is wonderful and there is a real open fire which gives the place such a cosy feel. Pub snacks, cobs and scotch eggs can be purchased if you get the nibbles.

Has had it's moments with trouble.A small carpark at front and a little garden for the kiddies.Serves food(nowt special)and usual keg beers.
Would not break a sweat to go for a special night out drink.
