Food has improved a lot since my last visit, they now have a varied menu and everyone enjoyed it. This time the Doombar was off but the Spitfire was fine. Really friendly and helpful staff. Easily the best pub in Godstone.

No chavs at midday on a Saturday. My pint was fine but some 'floaters' in my mate's. Plethora of antique gubbins adorning the walls, friendly staff and separate pool room (which I always approve of). Best of the three on the green.

Probably the best pub in the village. Nice location overlooking the village green but the "garden" is spoilt by the nearby A25. Harveys sussex was fine but the Spitfire was off when I was there. Food OK, nothing special but no complaints either.

Drink here three or four times a month - not a bad pub at all, always get a decent pint...

Visited this pub a few times and varies which I like, it can be a bit lively when the tradesmen are in on a Friday at 5pm for example but all good natured. Sunday roasts are good and generally a good village pub with community atmosphere. Not sure when the above people visited but not seen any Chav's and when you order bar food I would not expect service? As for chipped glass etc how does the pub improve if you do not let them know? I would recommend it and visit again, best one in Godstone, Fox and Hounds is a bit of a stroll but also good.
