| There are plenty of average to above average pubs in York centre; it's almost like a template of averageness. I visited 15 in 2 days and none stood out as outstanding, or indeed the opposite, but all were pleasant enough. | Went in last night for a pint and there was only 1 pump on, so a restaurant that sells beer as opposed to a proper pub. A shame as I remember when it always had 5 good beers on... mwb50 - 6 May 2014 07:25 |
| To be fair to this place I had just come straight from the Lamb and Lion so that's a hard act to follow. However, with Marstons never really being one of my favourite beweries this was always going to tinge my opinion. In fact it had pretty much the same offerings as the Minster - all being light ales. Can't remember the name of the drink I had but I know I didn't finish it. Seems more of a eating establishment rather than a drinking venue. Very average. realalerules1983 - 23 Aug 2012 11:18 |
