If you look at picture 5 you can see how the exterior of this pub has been dramatically improved. The same goes for the interior!
Pub now has 5 darts teams playing out of it, 2 ladies and 3 mens, there is also a pool team. Most major events can be viewed on one of five large screen tv's. There is music at the weekends usually on a Friday night but sometimes Saturday, or even both!
There is a quiz on a Thursday, which is sometimes replaced by a jamming session for local musicians.
The pub now has several different beers on tap, but no real ale unfortunately, and there is a good range of malt whisky and other spirits.

New owners have certainly livened the old place up and the regulars on the whole appear to have stayed loyal.
The upstairs flat is being converted for B&B accommodation and there are plans in the offing for alterations to the bar and lounge.
Exciting times ahead!

Last modernised in the late 1950's, this pub is an architectural marvel and still retains the water tap on the bar for fresh water for your whisky!
It has been in the Christie family for over 150 years but in latter years it has been run mainly as a hobby.
However it has just changed hands and the new owners will be desperate to up the flow of customers to make it a viable operation - the future will be interesting for the small but loyal band of regulars!
