user reviews of the Peterville, St Agnes

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A good sized pub a little out of the main village. The front bar as you go in features a pool table, CD jukebox and a plasma stuck on the wall. Theres limited seating opposite the bar, and it then leads in to a separate restaurant area. Its got quite a modern look with an attractive part tiled floor, with wooden striped flooring in places as well. There are also a couple of benches out the front, which is a pleasant enough spot if its a nice day.

Beers on tap were Doom Bar and Courage Best. Ciders were Strongbow and Addlestones.

Locals pub with a small but perfectly formed bar. Staff always friendly. Food ok.

New licensees since Sept. 2007. Excellent food, plenty of local beers and friendly attentive service. Not a place for fast food, most if not all is cooked to order. Can recommend the beer battered haddock with chips and mushy peas- no dearer than my local chippy!

Food was very good here. Beer was in good condition but no local ales were on when we visited. I don't travel 400 mls from east anglia to drink Adnams. You might want book for something to eat or get in early. We arrived when they were busy but the girls managed to fit us in. They earned they wages that evening.

The most 'local' of the many 'locals' in St Agnes. With pool table, darts, Sky and good value if standard food. Also has an ok 'restaurant' Two real ales inc Sharps and John Smiths. A living working boozer.
